If you haven’t checked my Instagram today, I’ve posted a short video of my new apartment in Baltimore, MD (thank you to Tristan for taking the video before we moved in). If you’ve known me for a while, you know I’m from a rural town in the mountains of North Carolina (I’m talking like population under 3000 people). While I didn’t move to the Big Apple, this is still one of the largest cities I’ve moved to (other than Charlotte, NC). Not only did I move to a new state, but I chose to move into an apartment downtown. I’ve given up on space (hello 740 sq ft box!) and shell out twice as much as I used to, but it’s really cool to be closer to more places. I’m in walking distance to Fells Point, Federal Hill, Inner Harbor as well as awesome restaurants on the water. And the best part- I’m near Little Italy so I can have pasta whenever I want!!! Deacon likes walking in his new environment and it’s an exciting place to relocate to after graduation (just need corona to get out of here so I can actually do things!) So today, and this coming Thursday, I’ve put together a “design board” (lol) of the new apartment. Today is all about the living room (click on your favorite things below to take you to where I bought them! Mobile-friendly, too!).
I’ve already gathered most of the items in my design board for the living room and will share photos from my actual room soon! Some things I DIY’d or got off of Marketplace to save money. I think I was pretty productive during the summer before I started work! I was able to resell all the items I brought with me from NC that I didn’t need anymore (for a while, we had two couches in the living room and that was a bit much. Deacon was happy to have his own couch though). I’m so excited to keep finding new pieces to add and switch things up.
