Affordable Grandmillennial Décor ($100 & under!)

Everything old is new again. You might have come across the term “grandmillennial” recently (especially if you’ve stumbled across this post!). However, if you aren’t familiar with this concept, the grandmillennial style encapsulates all things (e.g. home décor, fashion, wedding themes) classic, comforting and quirky!

The grandmillennial style often includes pieces that effortlessly complement traditional style, but with a little bit of a funky twist! Not only are there classic neutrals, but also a fun combination of prints, patterns, colors and textiles!

Grandmillennials range in age from mid-20s to late-30s and “have an affinity for design trends considered by mainstream culture to be ‘stuffy’ or ‘outdated’—Laura Ashley prints, ruffles, embroidered linens.”

SO YOU MEAN JUST DECORATE WITH OLD AND OUTDATED FURNITURE?

Not exactly! While the “granny-chic” style incorporates traditional pieces, there are modern elements that keep the space fresh. For example, the grandmillennial style includes previously outdated items, like floral-patterned curtains, wicker furniture, and china plates and prints, but in a way that elevates the space rather than creating a stuffy and old look. Think old school aesthetics with modern flair- quite the contradiction!
