We’re back from our European honeymoon to Greece and Italy. I wanted to put together a quick post on what I packed for a two-week summer trip to Europe!
Honeymoon Days 6-7: Off to Ancient Athens!
Today we sad goodbye to the beautiful Santorini! We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the airport, where we had a quick flight over to Athens, Greece. After we landed, we were driven to Elia Ermou Hotel Athens, which is situated just 800 meters from the world-famous Acropolis and Acropolis Museum. We were conveniently located in the Plaka neighborhood, nestled among the popular shopping streets in Athens, with proximity to several restaurants, bars, and stores.
Honeymoon Day 5: Sunset Catamaran Cruise in Santorini, Greece!
Before our afternoon activities started, Tristan and I walked around Santorini to find more side streets we didn’t have the opportunity to explore earlier in the trip. We came across a few Santorini windmills, most of which were constructed from the 17th-century onwards. Interestingly, many windmills were converted into accommodations during the 18th century!
Honeymoon Day 4: Leisure Day in Santorini, Greece!
Today we had a free day! We grabbed the delicious hotel breakfast and planned out our day’s activities. *Normal* honeymooners would wisely spend this time simply unwinding and recouping from wedding stresses by a pool or on a beach. We are NOT normal. We decided the best use of our day would be to walk anywhere and everywhere, which is cool with me.
Honeymoon Day 3: Exploring Santorini & Wine Tour
Tuesday ~ June 14th, 2022 We woke up to the most incredible breakfast spread ever! I love how typical European breakfasts include a variety of cheeses and cold cuts to choose from, along with a few pastries and fruit. Since…
