Back with another apartment design board- the terrace! I was so excited an outdoor area was an option when we first moved to the city. We had one in Winston-Salem, but it faced the woods and was really dark and damp. As a result, I would always get mosquito bites so we didn’t use it! Although our terrace is super small (check out the walk-through video on my Insta), it’s still an outdoor space! During the summer, we sat out there all day! The pool wasn’t open when we first moved (@corona) so having space to get some fresh air while still socially distancing was awesome. Plus, since I’ve started working remotely and with Tristan studying at home for the bar exam, it can get a little crowded in the apartment. Having that outdoor space has been so nice! I’m debating whether or not to invest in more outdoor furniture with the fall and winter seasons approaching, or if I should just wait until it starts to warm up in the spring. We do have chairs, a table, and plants that currently reside out there, so we are utilizing the space.
Next Tuesday, I’ll share my plans for the bedroom! I’m inspired by modern french pieces that are timeless. While the apartment is super bright and modern, I still want to add pieces that will fit well into my style once I move into a house one day.
