Finally! Our 1st In-Person Wedding Planning Meeting

Tuesday, January 4th 2022

On Tuesday, Tristan and I made our way over to Greenville, SC for our first in-person meeting with K. Elizabeth & Co. Luxury Weddings & Events – our amazing wedding planners! Katie and her team are fantastic to work with and completely understand our vision for the wedding! Since we live in Baltimore full-time, we’ve only met via video calls in the last year. As if zoom calls for work weren’t enough! Luckily, we were able to schedule a few meetings together while we were down this way visiting my family for the holidays.

Professional Party Rentals (17 Haywood Rd, Greenville, SC 29607)

We started the morning at Professional Party Rentals, where we selected most of our rentals for the wedding (with the exception of draping). Katie and her team pre-selected items based on our previous discussions regarding style and color. During our appointment, we walked through the warehouse and finalized linens, flatware, chairs, bar, lighting, and dancefloor choices.

Next, we made our way over to Wyche Pavilion, where our reception will be held. There, we had a walkthrough meeting with our florist, Kait Copeland from Springvine, and the K. Elizabeth & Co. team. Together, we discussed floor plans, stage layouts and specific floral arrangements for the space.

Last, but certainly not least, we had our food tasting at Larkin’s on the River, who is catering our wedding! We sampled a variety of hor d’oeuvres and entrées that we are considering for our stations! Everything was so spectacular (as expected!), that we had a difficult time narrowing down our selections!

We already know where we want to purchase our wedding cake from so there was no official “cake tasting” that occurred. However, we still made our way over to Brickstreet Cafe to indulge on Sweet Potato cake (just for good measure! 😉)

On Wednesday, I had my hair and makeup trial with Halie at Cotton Rouge! While I don’t want to post any spoilers, I did use the following images as references. Basically, I want a style that is simple and elegant, but can keep up with the southern heat and dance parties!

We’ve enjoyed the planning process this entire time, but there is something special about seeing everything come together in person! Just 5 months to go!!
