I wanted to create a post that I could revisit with updates from time to time regarding my travels to the 63 US National Parks! At this time, I have visited 6 national parks!

Obviously, I was too young to remember my first trip to Arizona! I’ll update this section when I make it back out that way (but for now, this counts!)

25. Grand Teton, Wyoming

July 14-17th, 2022 – We went out west to Wyoming for a family friend’s wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We were in town for a few days and had time to explore the area! We took a wildlife tour early in the morning to see a few animals (e.g. moose, bald eagles, black-billed magpies, ground squirrels, bison, elk and pronghorns).

Born and raised near the Great Smoky Mountains (even my high school was called “Smoky Mountain”)! This National Park falls within Tennessee and North Carolina (my state!) and is a beautiful place to have called home!

Tristan and I drive along Shenandoah on our way to and from Maryland and North Carolina (when I take trips to visit home). Growing up, my family would travel this same route on road trips. On one of these road trips, we explored Luray Caverns, which makes up the largest caverns in the eastern United States.

July 17-18th, 2022 – We explored Yellowstone on the same trip we took out west to celebrate our family friend’s wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We saw Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone Lake, Upper Falls, Norris Geyser Basin, and Hayden Valley). We saw several wild animals (and sat in a few traffic jams due to animals crossing/sitting/sleeping in the road). We were able to see: bison, elk, pronghorns, otters, mule deer, ground squirrels, geese, ravens, black-billed magpies, and even a grizzly bear!).
