Becks and the Cities

Hi again! I took a mini-break to focus on work as we near busy season, but I’m back with more posts to share! Earlier this month, I went to Texas! It’s crazy to think that my last real trip was Spring Break back in March- pre Covid lockdown! I went with Tristan and his parents to visit his brother- who’s a freshman at TCU (Go Horned frogs!) I have to admit, I was a little nervous to fly and surround myself with strangers. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy the boarding process was as the airport. We had a 5 pm flight out of BWI and made it through TSA within 15 minutes. On top of that, there were open seats between each guest on the plane and masks were required anytime you weren’t eating or drinking. Within 3 hours, we had left cold, rainy Baltimore and landed in warm, dry Dallas, Texas.

This was my first time visiting Texas. Even when I lived in Mississippi, I never made it over to the Lone Star State! Although I’m originally from the south (North Carolina), Texas takes it to whole new level (I’m talking about cowboy boots, baby!).

Whenever we weren’t eating delicious, southern food (more on that later) or walking around Fort Worth, we were looking for beautiful murals painted around the city! If you’re ever visiting the area, you should check out these locations!
